Applications for the Holiday Show are now Open!

May Updates

Summer is just around the corner … and it looks like its going to be a busy one!

It’s early May and it’s already hot … no wait – it’s cold …. okay we’re back to hot again … all of which is a friendly reminder that once Spring makes up its mind, Summer will be here hot on its heels!

And it looks like it’s going to be a busy one. The PGC has two new indoor shows, one at Lititz and one at Oaks. We have a Master Artisan/Peer Review session coming up (sign up here if you’re interested: https://haverfordguild.org/2024-fall-ma-peer-review-application/) plus our regular meetings!

An continuing in the vein that I started last month, today I’d also like to highlight our Secretary and Historian, Rudy Miller. Rudy is a fine artist and an illustrator who has worked as a fashion illustrator, paper doll designer as well as published her own coloring books. This, in addition to, her vibrant paintings.

Rudy is also one of our founding members and is currently our secretary and historian. Among other things, she sends out meeting minutes, email blasts, helps out with the shows by creating name tags and even creates our raffle gift certificates as well as our Master Artisan certificates.

Rudy also writes up the “Artist Spotlight” for this newsletter. So if you would like to be featured. Contact her today!

Rudy has made the difficult decision to step down as Secretary (although she is going to remain on the board) this year – which is understandable considering just how long she has so faithfully given us her time! If you think you might be interested in being our next secretary, let either me or Rudy know!

And don’t miss our next meeting! Rudy will supply the coloring pages, so bring your favorite coloring implement for a fun and relaxing evening of coloring with friends! This is an in-person meeting only, so there will not be a Zoom option.

There will, however, be snacks. So come out!

See you at the next meeting!
Christine Wright, President
