Gloria likes to feel the clay in her hands. She molds her work without the use of a wheel, using only her fingers and simple tools to create her organic forms. Her work hearkens back to earlier times, when hands, clay, simple glazes, and heat created works of art. Her work is at home wherever a beautiful sculpture or vase is displayed, on your shelves, by your windows, on your coffee or end tables. Her gas and soda fired stoneware is modern enough to be chic, but the old techniques used to create it endow it with enough soul to make the pieces endlessly fascinating.
