When I make a purchase, where will it be shipped from?
All art and fine crafts purchased on this site will be shipped directly from the individual artists.
Do I have to have a Paypal account to make a purchase?
No, you can just use most major credit cards when checking out. For more information about PayPal, click here.
Do I have to create an account to shop on this site?
No, you do not have to create an account to shop here. You may shop as a guest.

Accounts & Information We Collect

How do I set up an account?
Just click on the “My Account” link and go down to “Register”.
What information do you collect?
Here’s the information we collect when you visit our site:

  • Your data that we can see through Google Analytics.
  • Your billing address and shipping address when you place an order.
  • Your contact information and IP address when you fill out a contact form.
  • The information you fill out when you create an account.

We do not keep or “see” any credit card or financial information that you may provide when you purchase something. We use Paypal as our payment gateway. All transactions, including any refunds that the HGC Store may directly process will go through Paypal.

What will you do with my information?
We will use your information to fulfill your orders, communicate with you about your account and/or orders. We also may from time to time send you emails about what’s new with the HGC Store. What we will not do is sell your information to anyone else. For our full Privacy Policy, click here.
What is Google Analytics and what does it do with my information?
Google Analytics works by using code to collect what URL you came from, what browser you are using, and what “cookies” (pieces of code that your browser collects to track where you have been) you have. It will also let us know What this does is that it gives us more information about who is visiting us and where they are coming from. That way we get a pretty good idea on how to help more people find us.

About Our Artists

Can I shop directly from the artist?
We do not prohibit artists on this site from selling directly to the customers who find them here. However, we would hope that you would continue to shop here as the commission that we collect from the sales on this site help support the HGC and our mission to support the arts in our community.

How can I sell my art on this website?
All of the artists on this site are members of the Haverford Guild of Craftsmen and have been juried in by our standards committee. If you are interested in on selling your art on this site, please click here to apply.

What does the Haverford Guild of Craftsmen do?
The Mission of the Haverford Guild of Craftsmen is to encourage and promote the practice of fine craft and art in Haverford Township and environs through fellowship and networking at monthly meetings as well as educational and sales opportunities in our community. In addition to supporting local charities and non-profits with funding and art supplies, we also provide all of our members with:

  • Social Opportunities Including Potlucks, Picnics, Field Trips & Excursions

Site-Wide Policies

The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen online store does have site-wide store policies. However, due to the varying nature of the art that is offered here, the artists are also asked to have their own Shipping and Returns, Refunds, Exchanges & Cancellations policies in place. To see those policies, view a product sold by that artist and click on the “Policies” tab. If they do not have a specific policy in place, then you will see the default site-wide policies.

All artists are required to follow the site-wide policies. They may expand on the Shipping and Returns, Refunds, Exchanges & Cancellations policies, but they may not minimize them.

What is the Site-Wide Returns/Exchanges Policy?

All refunds, returns and exchanges must be coordinated directly with the artist.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, or if an item arrives to you damaged, you must contact the artist within 10 days of receipt, or within the individual artist’s stated time frame. If a condition of the refund is to ship the item back, please use the same or similar packing supplies.

For items that were damaged during shipping, you must provide photographs of the packaging as well as the item that is damaged.

Additional conditions under which a Refund, Return Exchange or Cancellation will be granted will vary from artist to artist. Please see that artist’s page for their stated policies.

Custom orders and personalized items are not returnable unless the item is defective.

What is the Site-Wide Shipping Policy?

Every item is shipped directly from the artist. Due to the varied nature of the art on this site, there is no perfect “one-size-fits-all” shipping option. Because of that we offer the artists (and you) a couple of different shipping options:

USPS Retail Parcel Shipping and Handling: The artists may choose to offer this option if the item is less than 1lb.

USPS Retail Ground Shipping and Handling: The artists may choose to offer this option if the item is less than 35lbs.

Contact the Artist to Make Shipping Arrangements (You will be billed for shipping costs separately by the Artist): The artists may set this option for their individual shop. Alternatively, if you have any questions, you are welcome to contact the artist directly.

Local Pickup: Some artists will have this option available. The artist will contact you to arrange time and location.

Free Shipping: Some artists may offer Free Shipping on an individual shop basis. See the artist’s shop shipping policies for more information.

Please note: Each artist may have already listed estimated shipping costs and specific shipping details in their individual shop policies and product details. Please be certain to read the full product descriptions for any additional specific shipping information provided by the artists.

What is your Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from shop.haverfordguild.org (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

CHANGES
